L’evocazione della luce, che fu la materia prima con cui l’Uomo di Luce lavorò per tutta la vita, nel cinema, lo porta ad altre riflessioni sulla natura misteriosa della luce; in un pellegrinaggio che intreccia ricordi personali con interrogativi metafisici fino ai confini del cosmo.

Hölderlin’s Echo | Hannes Rall – Germany, 88’37’’

One famous poet, hundreds of famous composers: the work of Friedrich Hölderlin (1770-1843) was set to music about 1800 times in the 20th century. In the history of modern music, his poetry has been transformed into avant-garde Liedkunst, which is interpreted globally, but especially in Asia. The Echo of Hölderlin has many voices and won’t fade away. Four poetic animated scenes show episodes from Hölderlin’s life and constantly reinterpret the figure of the restless, loving, ever-breaking, multi-faceted poet through the individual styles of the animation artists.

Un poeta famoso, centinaia di compositori famosi: l’opera di Friedrich Hölderlin (1770-1843) è stata musicata circa 1800 volte nel XX secolo. Nella storia della musica moderna, la sua poesia si è trasformata in ricerca d’avanguardia, interpretato a livello globale, ma soprattutto in Asia. L’eco di Hölderlin ha molte voci e non vuole spegnersi. Quattro scene animate poetiche mostrano episodi della vita di Hölderlin e reinterpretano costantemente la figura del poeta inquieto, amorevole, sempre dirompente e poliedrico attraverso gli stili individuali degli artisti dell’animazione.

Da sessant’anni un anziano artista lavora ad una mastodontica collezione di pietre: “La Ricerca”. Esplorando il fiume Adige ed i monti della Lessinia, Luigi Lineri ha raccolto e catalogato innumerevoli ciottoli dalle forme umane ed animali, del tutto simili a misteriose sculture preistoriche. I sassi diventano la traccia per andare alla ricerca della natura umana più profonda, tra memorie primordiali e presagi per l’avvenire. Un racconto visionario che offre un inedito punto di vista sul cammino umano e un manifesto di speranza per il futuro.

In a gray and cold world where humans seem absent, a voice full of darkness shouts slogans. Die! Don’t scream anymore! Don’t move for any reason! What shines in you, tear it away! This voice refers to the world after the apocalypse, the voice of a world in which hope seems to have disappeared. No revolution seems possible. Oppression has taken over. Will the bad days end?.

In un mondo grigio e freddo dove gli umani sembrano assenti, una voce piena di oscurità grida slogan. Morire! Non urlare più! Non muoverti per nessun motivo! Ciò che brilla in te, strappalo! Questa voce si riferisce al mondo dopo l’apocalisse, la voce di un mondo in cui sembra scomparsa la speranza. Nessuna nessuna rivoluzione sembra possibile. L’oppressione ha preso il sopravvento. I brutti giorni finiranno?

Water, Star Medicine (NASA) | Ilysa Spencer – USA, 15′

A New Mexico teacher and her students study the nature, science, and brilliance of water. They visit the Rio Grande in New Mexico and interview Veda Austin, a New Zealand Māori scientist to learn that water is life, memory, and healing. This films also includes the students teacher, principal, family members, and even NASA.

Un’insegnante del New Mexico e i suoi studenti studiano la natura, la scienza e la brillantezza dell’acqua. Visitano il Rio Grande nel Nuovo Messico e intervistano Veda Austin, uno scienziato Māori neozelandese per apprendere che l’acqua è vita, memoria e guarigione. Questo film include anche l’insegnante degli studenti, il preside, i membri della famiglia e persino la NASA.

Maria quella vera| Alessandro Caroppi – Italy, 11’48”

The short film is inspired by “La canzone di Marinella” by F. De André and the true story of Maria Boccuzzi. The students examined the lyrics of the song and the news story that inspired F. De André, namely the death of Maria Boccuzzi. The short film traces the life of Marinella (Maria) from her departure for Milan until her death (which flew into the sky on a star) and develops between De André’s song, news and imagination.

Il corto è ispirato a “La canzone di Marinella” di F. De André e alla storia vera di Maria Boccuzzi. Gli studenti hanno esaminato il testo della canzone e il fatto di cronaca che ha ispirato F. De André, ovvero la morte di Maria Boccuzzi. Il cortometraggio traccia la vita di Marinella (Maria) dalla partenza per Milano fino alla sua morte (volata in cielo su una stella) e si sviluppa tra la canzone di De André, la cronaca e l’immaginazione.

Off-season| Francescu Artily – France, 14’20”

A cameraman shoots picturesque videos for a TV production company. Wrecked by his lack of desire lost in the emptiness of a daily routine, he wanders alone through landscapes in search of the best view. A journey where the image becomes the main character of an existential quest.

Un cameraman gira video pittoreschi per una società di produzione televisiva. Distrutto dalla mancanza di desiderio perso nel vuoto della routine quotidiana, vaga da solo attraverso i paesaggi alla ricerca della vista migliore. Un viaggio dove l’immagine diventa protagonista di una ricerca esistenziale.
